There aren’t really words to describe how great Hellen’s place is. My husband and I took our 3 kids with us for our 25th anniversary trip and Villa Azure did not disappoint. We loved daily breakfast on the porch and the villa is a short walk (down a beautiful garden-lined path) to the resort’s private beach. The size of the space suited our family perfectly and the kitchen was fully equipped. The villa is located in a secure centrally-located community making it easy to travel and explore the island. Anytime we had a question, Hellen and Mary were quick to respond. Daily visits from friendly birds and lizards delighted everyone, especially our 8 year old. 😊 We tried all of Blue Bay’s beach restaurants and found the food delicious (if a bit pricey) and the views hard to beat. Overall, we were overjoyed by the experience and hope to be back on this amazing island soon. Thanks, Hellen.

This is a very nice vacation villa in a perfect location. The beach is less than 5 minutes away. Pool is even closer than that and never very busy. I love how the main area in the villa fully opens up to the outside. One thing that should be noted if you have infants who need darkness to sleep, this may be a bit difficult since the very tops of the rooms are all glass so light will leak through from one room into another. It did make things a bit challenging but did not spoil the stay at all. Just wanted other families to know!

Our stay was in one word - fantastic! Hellen’s place was perfect for our group of 5 (grandparents and couple with 5 year old kid): The house is spotless clean, towel service was highly appreciated, it is just a 3 min walk to the beach, the kitchen is well equipped, we loved the bbq and Hellen is a great host. She communicated very quickly and solved every single question/ask we had. We would highly recommend villa azure to everyone who is looking for the perfect Dutch Caribbean experience in Curacao. We for sure will be back! Thank you Hellen (and her great team) to make our vacation unforgettable!

Hellen's place was wonderful. The location was excellent, as it was close to the airport, Willemstad and a beautiful private beach with terrific snorkeling and dive options. The housekeeping midway through our stay was a bonus in an Airbnb. We loved the laid back vibe of Curaçao and were extremely happy with our choice of accommodations.

Fantastic vacation villa ideally located 2 minutes from beach and restaurants. Watched flamingos each morning at the 18th hole, beautiful! Blue bay is a wonderful resort with excellent service and amenities!! You won’t be disappointed!

Hellen's place is an amazing find, suitable for a family or adults only. You can't beat the location. It really is minutes from the beach, where I thought the snorkeling was some of the best of all the beaches we visited. The flowers and birds are amazing and the two restaurants onsite served really great food and drinks! We did find that there are not laundry facilites for guests who are staying less than 10 days. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen had all needed appliances. The cleaning staff and management were very responsive to any needs we had during the week. I would definitely recommend this and hope to go back again!

The Villa 8 has excellent location, it’s just a few minutes walking distance from the great blue bay beach. It was great for us with a 4 months baby. The house is very well equiped, you have everything you need for cooking and breakfast, goog coffee maker, good toaster, good pans and a blender. My only suggestion would be an orange juicer. The mosquito nets in all rooms are excellent and necessary. Air conditioning in sleeping rooms are working perfect also. We had very nice holidays in Hellen’s house, our kid’s loved the beach and didn’t want to leave. The house had very good room for us, two couples and 3 children. Helen was very fast on comunication and provided everithing we needed, including two very confortable baby cribs. One good suggestion would be a solution for flies in the balcony. We know it’s a condominium matter, but it was very annoying at breakfast time.

Stayed for 8-nights with the five of us girlfriends. The view and ease of beach and snorkel access was perfect. Jan, on site was helpful and responsive. The beds were so COMFORTABLE! The location on the island is perfect. Not to close to downtown, but an easy drive to everything. The things we'd wished we knew: Construction directly across the street was very load each morning - no sleeping in here. The mosquitos on the porch were fierce during our stay, even with 98% DEET and citronella candles lit - be prepared. As lovely as the villa was, some minor upkeep is needed (fridge instructions, bathroom upgrades) - but worth the value. I'd definitely stay again, but would ask all the additional questions before committing.

This is a lovely house and a great place for 4-6 people to stay. It is an easy walk to the beach, and there is great snorkeling beyond the breaker walls. The beds are very comfortable and the space is well organized and attractive. It is a good deal for the price, especially for two couples. We loved staying there! The manager is very helpful and friendly.

Hellen's place was lovely and exactly as posted. We had a little snafu when we arrived do to miscommunication and our USA Verizon phones not cooperating and our messages weren't going through. But everything worked out fine. We've used Airbnb 4 other times in LA and it's always a little stressful when you have to check in .... not knowing if you'll get in and whatever. It's nice when the owner is right on the property, which Hellen is not. However the manager Jan was very pleasant and helpful. I had lots of annoying questions for them via text and they always responded quickly and were very helpful. When we first entered the villa it was stiflingly HOT! The main living areas are not air conditioned and we're always hot, even when all doors were opened...this was a little challenging for those of us addicted to air conditioning!😬 It became our new 'normal' and we survived just fine....although after a long day out in the bright hot sun, it would've been nice to come home to nice cool a/c! Kinda zaps you. We did find out from locals that the weather was unusually hot because of the hurricanes to the east, so others may not be affected during their stay. We had no problem with bugs which was great. I was worried because the master bath did not have at screen or glass, only loovered (?) (Website hidden by Airbnb) bugs and critters could easily enter, thankfully only had one cockroach and no other bugs, and the cute lizards stayed outside too. It is super close to the beach and the beach restaurants and bar were great! Beautiful beach and the best snorkeling beach of our stay. We (myself, my husband, two adult children and a friend) felt very, very safe at the resort. I would definitely recommend Hellen's villa.

We had a wonderful stay! Blue bay resort is very nice and easily accessible. We enjoyed meals, drinks and snorkeling there. The resort felt safe and everyone was very nice and accommodating. Hellen's communication is excellent and I always felt like I could reach out if I needed anything or had questions. We would love to visit again. Only downfall was all the mosquito bites I collected while on the island. :/

My husband, 5 year old son, parents and I rented this incredible house for a 7 day family vacation. It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and only a 3 minute walk to the lovely pool and incredible beach! The area is so quiet beautiful and close to everything! True paradise. The beach is amazing as is the snorkeling! Hellen is the perfect host and we felt so lucky and thankful for finding her and her house. I highly encourage families to stay here, great for all ages while also being tropical and romantic for couples.

Villa Azure was a great deal - literally a 5-minute walk to a beautiful private beach, lots of space (we only had 2 people) and very reasonably priced. Property manager and Hellen coordinated check-in and check-out seamlessly and made booking an AirBnB in a different country very easy. The patio was especially enjoyable as it was very spacious. The once-a-week cleaning service ladies were very polite. Main drawback (not Hellen's fault) was that there was construction in the early mornings. I even had an incident where a construction worker wandered onto the patio without a head's up. However, Hellen and Jan were very responsive and addressed this immediately. Also, while the AC in the bedrooms was great, there was no AC in the living room - only a fan. Not a dealbreaker, but if you're one of those people who need to have the AC on full blast, you may want to keep this in mind.

Our stay at Hellen's vacation villa was amazing (6 days 5 nights). The villa is very nice and so close to the beach (3 min walk). I am usually a pool person, but the beach at Blue Bay was so amazing that we didn't even go check out the pool. Snorkeling is great - I would recommend bringing one from home, they are expensive at the beach shop (I think mine was $60). The villa has 95% of the things you would need to cook any meal. The only thing I would say is that if you want to go out to dinner most restaurants are in Willemstad about 15 minutes away - only like 2-3 restaurants on the Blue Bay resort. They are good though. Definitely necessary to rent a car (Platinum Curacao was great) and travel the island and beach hop. However the beach at Hellen's is one of the nicest we saw. I would definitely go back or recommend the villa/Curacao to a friend.

Helen briefed us with everything we needed to know about her place and the resort prior to our stay. Check in was easy and all instructions were thorough. The wrap around porch was beautiful an we enjoyed lounging there every day. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The villa is perfectly located just a short walk from the beach but not too close to be noisy. Highly recommend!

Hellen's place was perfect for our Curaçao getaway! We especially loved the spacious deck where we spent most of our time. The villa is a short 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach. Free passes to the beach were also included. We went with our two young children and two other family members, and the space was more than adequate. We will definitely be back!

The villa has the most comfy beds ever and is a 3 min walk away from the most beautiful beach from Curacao. Thanks to Hellen and her perfect villa we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you Hellen for everything! We had an amazing time in your villa, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Communication was absolutely perfect. If I had a question, it was answered promptly. Jan was also very accommodating and easy to reach. The villa was amazing, some aspects were even better than the pictures. Very well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc. Very bright and well decorated. It was roomy, we had 6 people in our group and never felt cramped. The location in Blue Bay was great (a 2-3 min walk to the beach). Housekeeping came twice in our 11 night stay, so not all the time, but enough. I felt very safe on the grounds and even leaving the doors open to catch a breeze, I didn't worry at all. There were lizards (the kind that crawl up the wall) but those don't bother me at all. A few came inside, but they're not a bother. The grocery store (Centrum) is a 5 min drive away and they have everything you need at comparable prices to Canada. Nothing was outrageous there, for example bread was under $2US per loaf. There were mosquitoes, but if you took measures to not get bitten, they weren't a big deal. We used mosquito coils and citronella outside, and put repellent on and we were fine. My kids had more bites that we did but the nets in the kids room weren't as complete as the ones in the bigger bedrooms. I think they are working on improving those nets. Also, simple things like keeping that door closed would have helped. All 3 restaurants were outstanding and accommodating. Certain nights they had certain menus but would usually make you things not on the menu if you asked. Prices were very reasonable there as well. I would definitely stay at Hellen's villa again, it was a central location on the island and offered every convenience of home. Thank you again Hellen for a wonderful stay and for making us feel so welcomed at your villa.

Cute villa in a large resort complex. The villa offered everything we needed. Jan was very helpful with getting acquainted with the villa, he was quick to respond to our inquiries. The complex has some beautiful landscaping and we saw tons of birds including some smaller parrots. It is a quick stroll to the beach. We found the beach to have lots of families and small children. There was a bar and a couple of restaurants close to the beach.

We stayed for 1 week at Helen's Villa and had a wonderful time (very safe ). The beach is about a 5 minute walking distance, the water is crystal clear. The Snorkeling was OUTSTANDING. We shopped at the local grocery store they had pretty much everything. Highly recommend Helen's Villa.

Villa Azure is in a convenient location for going to the beach at Blue Bay. The Blue Bay community is conveniently located to everything in Curacao. It is centrally located on the island. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the Villa. Hellen's Villa was exactly as advertised. There are no surprises. We made our arrangements for our stay well in advance. Hellen was incredibly responsive to our questions and concerns up to and throughout our stay. Our only suggestion would be to bring mosquito repellent. Other than that, it was a pleasurable experience.

What can I say, it was a dream vacation and escape for us both. The villa was perfect for our requirements, fantastic space and a wonderful large terrace to enjoy our morning breakfasts and evening aperitif on the comfortable seating available. We enjoyed the use of the BBQ and with the supermarket only a short drive away, found all the local and Dutch fresh produce to have a feast. We were met promptly on arrival by Jan who was very informative on the area, local beaches and restaurant suggestions. The villa was very clean and had all the amenities you could need for a relaxing break and we were even offered a cleaning service and change of towels mid stay! The air conditioning in the rooms was gladly welcomed too! We hired a car at the airport which we found essential for us to visit the surroundings areas, but with the villa less than a 2minute walk to the beautiful private beach and fantastic tasty Sunset restaurant, you can quite easily stay in the beautiful compound of Blue Bay, curl up and relax, just idyllic. Helen was quick to respond and helpful during the booking process, she kindly checked in with us during our stay just to make sure everything was perfect, and it was!

We stayed at Villa Azure in Blue Bay Resort for 5 days in early October. This villa was perfect for our stay and in many was exceeded our expectations. The villa is exactly as described and pictured. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach or the pool and to the restaurants on the resort. The beach was amazing, clear water and calm for the most part. On most mornings and afternoons you could see flamingos and iguanas on your walk to the beach. The food and service at Sunsets and Pictures restaurants were great. Hellen and Jan were great, they were always available and in most cases pro-active making sure everything at the villa was good and that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back.

Great place to stay! Very close to the lovely beach (250 m) with enough shade and free beds for everyone staying at the resort. The sea was super, about 28 centigrades and we lovend snorkeling around. We were very pleased with the dive-excursions given by Monique and Johan of duikschool Van de Ven. Their diving school is situated at Jan Thiel resort. 3 of us even were so enthousiastic about it that we succesfully went for the course SSI open water diver. Also, we were very happy with the nice wind and the beach shower. Our special spf 50 uv-protection shirts prevented us from getting burned by the ruthlessly shining tropical sun and I suggest everyone to bring along a shirt for every family-member and a lot of suntan cream. Hellen was a great host and very accessible, although she's not living in the neighbourhood. Her location manager Jan-Willem was helpfull and came to the resort entrance to welcome us as soon as we arrived at the airport. In the fridge we found a welcome package with something to drink and eat! Very thoughtful!!! The housekeeping was marvellous! We really felt cherished. The 3 bedrooms are airconditioned which is greatly appreciated as it is very hot in Curacao. I suggest renting a car. It's a 15 minute drive to Willemstad and about 60 minutes to Westpoint. The kitchen is simply equipped and we guess most guests don't cook for themselves. The kitchen contains a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker (filter coffee), electric kettle, toaster and a hudge fridge with freezer compartment which automatically makes ice cubes. In the kitchen area there's 220V, so if you bring a multiple socket you can recharge all your electrical devices.

Since the day we booked the house she, Jan and Matteo were always very nice, accomodative and responsive, answered all of our questions and explained everything in detail. Hellen was great from the beginning of the booking process all the way through our departure. The villa is exactly as described and the location is wonderful. WE had a great time at Blue Bay. We absolutely loved Pictures, the food and the drinks there were probably the best we had during our 2 weeks there. And the food at the bar on the beach was really good as well. The location is perfect, with the grocery store just around the corner pretty much, Willemstad about 15 minutes away, airport 7 minutes away, and the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The snorkeling at Blue Bay and Playa Lagun was great, the Blue Room is definitely worth seeing as was Shete Boca and the Hato Caves. Hellen's villa is in the perfect location for a wonderful vacation. Would highly recommend Hellen and her villa.

Het huis is zondermeer heel prettig. De lichtinval in het huis, het zeer grote terras, de privacy en de ligging maken het zeer prettig en aan te raden. Ook de ligging is goed te noemen. Uitzicht op het golfterrein, goede afscheiding van het wandelpad waardoor je geen inkijk hebt en dichtbij het strand maken het geheel compleet. Minder tevreden waren we over keuken inventaris ( beperkt, slechte pannen), niet goed functionerende afwasmachine, geen warm water in de keuken. TV ontvangst was zeer slecht. Versleten kussens op het buitenmeubilair. Kleine minpuntjes die onze fijne vakantie niet hebben verstoord. Huis was zeer prettig en kunnen we zeker aanbevelen. Maar het lijkt dat het huis al enige jaren geleden is geleden opgeleverd en in de tussentijd te weinig

aandacht aan kleine zaken wordt gegeven.

Het huis was tip top in orde op het aangegeven tijdstip. We arriveerden echter eerder, maar we konden onze tassen al kwijt in het huis, wat erg prettig was. De beschrijving van het huis geeft het huis precies weer, echt een geweldige plek! De ligging is perfect, op een minuut of twee loopafstand van het strand en restaurants. Een absolute aanrader!
