1. PLAN IT. First, gather all the items you want to pack in one place. Pick two to three colours to plan your outfits around so you can mix and match easily while on the road.
2. ROLL, DON'T FOLD. Tightly rolled clothes take up less space than folded ones. Plus, they're less prone to getting deep wrinkles from fold creases.
3- MIX AND MATCH. For example, bring three tops/shirts and three “bottoms.” That’s 9 outfits.
4. BAG IT UP. Air-compression packing bags are miraculous, squeezing air out of clothes, giving you more room in the suitcase. Giant Ziploc bags work, too. Just roll them tight. We use Ziplocs in various sizes for everything from toiletries to wet swimming gear and always pack a few extras.
5. STUFF IT. Use your shoes as packing cubes," Slip in your socks, underwear, chargers for electronics, and even a travel alarm clock.
One last thing: Carry-on instead of checking so that you can exit the airport immediately after reaching your destination. - BUT if you must check your luggage, ask for a FRAGILE sticker on it to ensure your bags will be put on top of the pile and be first off the plane.
